Wavecare is a community based
not-for-profit organisation that provides a low cost
counselling service to people who live, work or study
within the City of Monash. The cost of the service is
subsidised by a grant from Monash City Council and the Vic
Government Dept of Human Services as well as client fees
and fund-raising within the local
community.
Service
Fees
Wavecare
charges modest fees for most of its services. Clients
with a health care card or who can demonstrate a low
income status can access the counselling service at a
subsidised
cost. Whilst economic circumstances are
taken into account our experience suggests that
clients value the service more and receive
greater benefits if they contribute towards the cost
of the service.
Please contact Wavecare to find out
more about our fees.
Grants
Wavecare is grateful for
the generous support that it receives from the
City of Monash. Support includes:
- Community Partnership Funding
Grant
- The Wavecare
building
- The Glencare
Hall
- Counselling rooms in Oakleigh and
Clayton
Wavecare also receives a
funding from the Department of Human Services to run the
Glencare Activities Program for frail-elderly Monash
residents
